BCR Winter Tea Blend

(Blackberry, Chamomile, Rosehip)

One serving:
1 teaspoon crumbled blackberry leaves
1 teaspoon chamomile blossoms
1 teaspoon rose hips pieces no seeds

Line a heat resistant mug with cheesecloth or a gauze milk filter, or use a submersible tea strainer such as the metal basket type. Add the above three herbs and pour over all enough hot water to just cover. Put a lid over the mug and carefully place a kitchen towel around the whole thing to keep the heat in. Let steep for 15 minutes.

Pour over all more hot water to make 6 to 8 ounces total. Remove the herbs. If desired add raw honey or stevia. This brew may also be refrigerated and used as a cold drink in summer. Use within 24 hours of making it. Tea that is no longer fresh can be poured around house or garden plants.

This recipe uses dried ingredients. It can be made with fresh items but the blackberry leaves are best used when fermented and dried.
